I have been riding my for a couple months now, and they have plenty of power. They CAN be just as fast as a 300EX, justs depends on who is riding it. Has about 13-15 hp, plenty. I am quite satisfied with mine.

I have a 250x and I ride with several other larger quads and have no problem holding my own. My bike is stock with the exception of an UNI air filter, but I would like to make some modifications if anyone has any suggestions.

I got a 91 X that was all stock. I have put a Cobra Jet exhaust, twist throttle, and new tires front and rear(fast trekkers fr. and Shredders rear), and a rev-limiter. Before the mods my brother in-law could pull me about 4 quad lenths in about a 1/4 mile, now he has to come around me when he hits 6th, he has a warrior(jet kit,dg header, and air box mods). And I haven't even got my jet kit yet.

The Honda service manual says that 250x engines have a max of 21.1 bhp/7,500 rpm and max torque is 2.25 kg-m at 6,00 rpm.
