Just picked up my 04 Rincon!

I had a choice... $300 honda bucks off the 03 in red, or the new 04 without the $300 honda bucks.. in yellow! (Matches the Z!) I went with the 04.. they threw in a free hitch and it was a done deal..
got her home, and gonna take it out after lunch to burn off the smelly stuff.. (haha.. I miss that smell of new ATV paint burning off).
She's sweeet! Hopefully not many will get the yellow.. I liked it cuz everyone around here has Red...
Giddyyyyyup!

Well, just took it for about a 20 mile ride in the ditches. First impression is WOW... it IS like a caddy! It's like riding on air compared to riding my Z... And it's quick too.. going about 48mph in the ditches.. didn't seem that fast! Topped it out at about 62 on a gravel road.. again, it didn't feel like that fast... smooth!
Plenty of power for creeping up hills, compression breaking is great, heck, it's awesome!
One gripe, the front brakes seem a little weak. But, hopefully they will break in and get better as mentioned here before. Also, when crusing at about 55 on the gravel road, it did seem to "sway" a little.. maybe the toe out is too much like another Rini rider mentioned. Oh well, plenty of time to mess with that..
Also, when shifting into reverse or drive, it does "clunk" a little. Is that supposed to happen?
Otherwise, I'm grinnin from ear to ear... my neighbor wants to go 4x4ing through the creeks tonight... so should be another good test for it!

Congrates On The Rincon!
Yea mine clunks too, no big deal... Someone mentioned it's just the valve in the tranny opening and closing (remember it's like a heavy duty car tranny). Kinda reminds me of my dodge. Watch the speed, I found myself at 50+MPH many times when I should of been going much slower... You will get used to it...

Cool! Glad the clunk is normal. I rode with a polaris tonight and noticed his did the same thing..hehe..
Anyhow, now I've tested it's low speed deep water/mud/quicksand abilties, I have to say I am in LOVE with this quad (hope my Z doesn't read this!) We rode for a couple hours up the rivers around our area in some places riding for hundres of feet with water up to the racks and the sand under our tires in that water, lets just call it quicksand (if you've ever burried yourself in it, you know what I mean). Kinda scary hearing the exhaust go under water.. Never did experience that stalling or sputtering problems others have Seemed to do just fine.
The lack of a low gear had no affect in this riding and we were pushing a LOT of water, upstream and downstream most of the time at least over 3/4 up the tires. The polaris was right there behind me, but when we did reach "beaches" where we could open it up he was busy putting it back into high to catch up. So I'd call the lack of a low gear an advantage!
Just sweet. That's all I have to say about this machine.. I can't put it into words! I want 2 now! I'll have to take the Z out tommorow so it doesn't start rusting the shock mounts or something on me..haha.. Thanks to the real owners for telling me I wouldn't be sorry. I'm not. If anyone is reading this and thinking maybe not a rincon because of negative posts.. just don't believe them.. this machine rocks. (I know I sound like I'm 15, but I am in my 30s..haha..)
