ok and I will agree with you on that with a modded 250R that is running good you will beat Raptors and 450's. As far as on the track he's just got a lot to learn. And anyone can say that they are a pro. Anyways sounds like you got a good running R. Ride hard and have fun!

The national porting made the biggest difference!!! After i broke it in i gunned it to see what it would do and godd*mn i actually had to hold on! it was scary for a while till i got used to it[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I have a Curtis Sparks pipe, Air box modification. Advanced the cam timing and had the carb jetted
by curtis sparks. i have raced YFZ450's with the baffle pulled & no lid, and I absolutely walk off & leave
them. A stock 450 & a piped 450 is like night & day. You will be surprised!

 

ok, your 250r sounds pretty mean, but take a yfz with equal mods( in this case cam timing, gyt-r pipe, and proper jetting) with an experienced rider and i would almost guarantee that it would at least keep up with your bike. i think the yfz riders on here would agree.

 

i also agree those 450 motors are potent, im pretty sure that one with equal mods would keep up if not beat me. Im hoping the new honda is better than the yfz though so i can sell my R and buy that.
