Default RACED A YFZ ON MY R!!!

I loved the story of the R beating the yfz, you should write a book on that.

Default RACED A YFZ ON MY R!!!

Well he came over to ride with us today and to my amazment he was a whole new person. He even offered me if i wanted to ride it! Hell yea i wanna ride it! after about 10 minutes i didnt wanna ride it anymore. I would take the 400ex's handling over it anyday! I did like power though...its pretty fast for being almost stock. We raced again on pavement but this time i was on his and he was on mine. Turns out the driver did have alot to do with it. He beat me by about 5 bikes LOL! i lost to my own bike! We switched and i beat him by about 6 bikes... we were gonna do the track thing again but it got late. This comparison isnt to unfair i mean, i only have a 265 which puts out...i dont know how much HP it puts out but the yfz comes with 45 stock! and only wieghs 350lbs. The mods on my bike are only to make up for the difference in cc's...

i would like to see your 265 run against a healthy 310. i can pull about two bike lenghts on my friends 250r (ported, race gas, pipe etc...) in a 100 yard race. my 310 is not special but a health 310 will beat a healthy 265 any day. as far as two strokes being fasrer than 4 strokes, cc to cc , i would agree, but when you give the four stroke a large cc difference then it is a different story. traction is a major problem for two strokes, they waste a lot of power spinning the tires. a drag race with my friends healthy 350 power vavle against my cdale were dead even on a 125 yard drag race in dirt (we both one by small margins and we raced 5 times). it all depended on the start. i raced my other friend on his 250r against my cdale and beat him by 4 bike lenghts (100 yard race on yard grass). never raced on pavement so i can not say, but from the seat of the pants, the cdale pulls harder than my 310 honda but not as hard as the 350 power valve. the 350 power valve has alot more power but it cain't put the power to the ground like a four stroke can. if you watch the two wheelers race, the four stroke almost always gets the hole shot. i would think if that boy unplugged his exhaust pipe and pulled the air box lid off it would be a different story. but if your racing on pavement that might make the difference. try him in the grass or dirt for a real world test.

Default RACED A YFZ ON MY R!!!

We raced several times on gravel/hard pack terrain and i always ended up in first. His 310pv is really healthy, it was a new motor, jetted perfectly, new tires, new walsh a-arms, new walsh swing arm, new 0-preload 19" axis front/back etc... his bike is sick! it looks alot better than some of the ones u c on the huevos videos. The reason i beat him though is cause we were practicing mx so his gearing was down, if he had it geared alittlebit higher he would of beat me no doubt about it. we were gonna race on pavement but a cop came along so we took off. On the track my bike is not match for his 310's power on the turns.
