Default Foreman 450 select switch question?

I tried the select switch today. When I had it in 4 wheel drive and I switched it back to 2 wheel drive the 4wd indicator light didn't turn off right away. I think it went off and then back on and then off one of the times. Anyone else have this happen?
When standing still I can just turn the switch off and on, off and on and the light responds normally. While driving in 2 wheel drive it stays off until I switch the 4x4 on and the light comes right on. But as I wrote before, when I turn the 4 wheel drive off the light didn't turn right off.

Default Foreman 450 select switch question?

My Foreman does the same thing, it is normal, the traxlok will not change back to 2 wheel drive untill you slow down or let the RPM's come back down. It has something to do with engine compression braking. I will look at my manual and see exactly what it says about this and try to reply back to you, but it sounds normal.

Default Foreman 450 select switch question?

I've been searching my manual but it only has the basic info. If I stop to take it out of 4 wheel drive then the light goes off although it has blinked on once quickly. I just drove up a hill in 4 wheel drive and on the top it wouldn't (the light) go out for a little while after switching (still moving). Thanks for replying 89rman. I just want to make sure it's normal so if it isn't then I can take it back.

Does the Rincon have the same setup because my neighbor said that his light goes right out?

I think there might be something wrong with it. I was just using it while coming to complete stops to put it in and out. Although the switch was off the light still came on when I started to move. If I stopped then the light would go out. But once I started to move the light would come on again. The light finally went out if I turned the wheels sharp in one direction.

to switch into 2 wheel drive from 4 wheel drive you have to be going like 2 mph or slower due to heavy stress on the transmission when going fast....it is faster for going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive but i dont know why
