is honda a follower

very interesting for adults: there is no solution. You are at opposite ends of a chinese finger puzzle.
1. I worked for Honda for 14 years. they are followers. it is part of their philosophy to let the other guy fail or succeed and then improve on the technology. next time you see "Honda" on the History Channel, watch it! It explains Soichiro's philosophy in an hour. There is nothing wrong with this mindset, it is oriental.
2. It is always easier to offend than to compliment.
3. Those who constantly offend have:
a. chronic lackanookie
or
b. genetic needleweiner.
4. Of the 4 big Japanese companies, since the 70's, the one who has taken the most chances was Kawasaki! no doubt! remember those triple 2 stroke street bikes? and so many other things? Kawasaki has a different, more let's make it fun philosophy. In the 70's, on the street, nobody beat Kawi's. Funny how things change. I would expect these characters to release something like the raptor.......not the 700. How many people remember the ROTARY ENGINED SUZUKI streeet bike? It was there, for one year.
5. the 100 day airplane is the P51 Mustang, the most famous warplane of WW2: many still win air races today.
I think govt regs scared the japanese a lot, and i dont know about worldwide economics, but werent they having troubles not too far back?
I guess there's no substitute for being there, eh? Certainly someone can answer all your questions, but what is the point? to win a pointless argument? where are those college educations right about now?

it seems to me there is more to the question than which manufacturer brought out the first perf quad. to be honest, lets compare craftsmanship, ever tried to adjust the chain on a zook or yamaha? how about filter maint? see, there's more to being a leader than putting the first model on the market.when you put out a mediocre product such as the banshee, and all the aftermarket companies are trying to improve on your design(250 r, 400 ex) because it's a great starting point, that in it's self makes you a leader. kudos to honda for setting yet another benchmark in the high performance world
