No, grizz thats not actually what you said. you tried to give the banshee all the credit for the design of modern sport quads. and when the man corrected you by saying he was not talking about 2-strokes, you said well the warrior came before the 400ex give it the credit. Oh yea and as for you saying I think tecates are are the best things running, if you have read my other posts you would know that quite often I point out flaws in the design. other than that I've said they were the fastest stock 250 ever, ok that is not my opinion, that is fact. trust me I will be the first to tell you they ride like crap. thats why I have spent alot of money fixing kawasaki's mistakes.

the t4 was the fastest production 2 stroke 250. But the handling was the worst of the three.
the shee and warrior came out in 87. thier presence left the door open for sport quads. the geometry might not be the same, but if yamaha didnt continue to make these machines througout the years, threre may have been no sport segment to jump back into for honda or the rest.

Hey Guys,
While we are on the subject of atv history and what vehicles contributed to our huge line of atv's we have today, I want to mention two very influential atvs.....Hondas atc350x and atc250r. I think one of the biggest reasons the manufacturers came out with larger cc machines is because all of us guad riders were getting our butts kicked by these two three wheelers. Not necessarly in the woods or tight trails but when it came to drag racing....man these two rocked! I know that this thread has mainly been discussing quads but again, its hard to deny the influence on the sport quad market the 350x and 250r have had.

Grizz...I do understand what you are saying....but please try to here what I'm saying....yes yamaha stayed in it for the long hall, but what about the mojave it's a sport quad......All I'm saying is I do not belive that the banshee or the warrior had anything to do with honda's decision to get the sport quad ball rolling again...if anything it's the fact that they were finally able to start making good power with the for stroke bike motors....
