Does taking your airbox off and just having a filter give u more horse pwer, and y.

 

What i did when i got my k&n is put a few more pipes running torad my air box therefo giving more breathing without the noise with no lid. Its not a real noticible power increase but it does help with throttle response and will give more horsepower. Just rememebr to run the pipes from the air box at the same leval as the stock snorkle if u have a utility.(radiator hose works well.)

 

We always ran just the open K&N filter with outerware for racing, but when we put the open top box back on as a splash guard for wetter riding - did not notice much difference.
