now that we have the specs... let's speculate.

I think they are a pretty even match and can;t say much more until I see one run.
The 2nd gen Talon/Eclipse has mad crankwalk. My buddy is on motor number 3 already and he takes it easy on his ride. They are fast as hell though!

I've been waiting to buy a YFZ just because I heard the TRX was coming out. Hoping that they would finally get off there rears and give what the atv riders were asking for.
I should have just bought the YFZ to begin with. I should have known that honda would have let me down.

HA2, I'm a little confused about your opinions on the weight thing. Both manufactures are claiming 350lbs. I don't see the difference. Whether if comes from a battery, starter or a heavier chassis, the weight is still there on both machines. According to the factory specs, there is no weight advantage to either machine.
But on the topic of factory specs, you're right that manufactures "round off" (big time rounding off), but Honda would have to be stupid to round to a higher number. That goes against almost thirty years of specification number smudging. If they weighed it at 349lbs, they would have said it weighed 340lbs.

RoughRider01, that would be retarded if they bumped the ccs from 440 to 450 for the 2005 models. The reason why they had to take them down to 440 is because the AMA ATVA GNC MX series has a limit of 440 cc to compete in the 250 class. Therefore, if they bumped the cc's up, they would loose this market of racers, and moreso, aspiring wannabe racers. Unless the ATVA bumps the cc limit up to 450, dont count on it.

The ATVA already did.
The weight issue is that if you make the YFZ a kick start you reduce the weight even further below the claimed 350 lbs. For the Honda there is no easy way to shave a couple lbs.
