With the release of the TRX450R things are starting to get very
interesting in the atv ranks.
Just think Honda and Yamaha fighting it out with 2 awesome models.
Now if Polaris , Suzuki, Kawasaki,Arctic Cat,and Bombardier all made
450 racers the would be grate for the sport. I have the YFZ450, Is it
better then the 450R( I DON'T Know ) am I going to rip on the Honda boys
HELLLL NO. This is exactly what we need, the manufactures fighting it
out,upgrading every year to stay on top, not just the same old machine
with BOLD NEW GRAPHICS. I am just like everyone else I want my Quad to
win the shootout but if it doesn't I think Yamaha "in this case" will be
forced into making some changes for next years model. I hope the Quads
get the same attention as the Dirtbikes do. If that happens we all win!
See, It has already started Honda through the first low blow $400 bucks
worth. If my dream here comes true we will get better Machines for less
$$. ( And don't say you already can the Honda I covered that, Besides I
paid $6300 for my YFZ)

i agree i am a die hard honda fan but i will not knock the yzf maybe the price but wit the new 450r i think quads world just got a little more competive. I think that bombardier, polaris, and all the rest are behind. I cant wait to get my hands a that 450.

 

id like to see some more EFI systems and variable valve timing.

 

Bombardier has been working on a 450 to compliment the 650, but have put it on hold while they settle the financial changes in the company. I herad it's pretty sweet, not groundbreaking (don't want anyone to blow this sout of perportion too) but it would put another challenger in the ring, and like it is said above, competition breeds more selection, that means mor toys for us to chose from.

I agree. EFI rocks, there is just no question about it. I know, I know .. a properly tuned carb can perform just as well.. Blah Blah... what about when you go up a couple thousand feet? While the buddy is rejetting you are playing around like a kid at the playground since you don't have to. I'd like to see some more crotch rocket technology brought to the quads. Those are where they make rediculous power without too many CCs and they rev to numbers I can't comprehend. THAT is fun!

im for new quads but i hate changes every year!
think of how much that new quad will depreciate everytime they make a change. i like that i can walk into any motorcycle shop and buy a banshee or blaster part and there all the same from years ago.
