Default circlip fell into crankcase!!!

Alright-Im really in a jam now- I was replacing the piston on my 250x, and I dropped a circlip into the crankcase

Now what? Do I really have to split the cases? Or maybe I can stick a magnet in there? Or will it sink to the bottom and maybe I can somehow get it out of the oil drain hole????

I would really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas
Thanks in advance
Will

no harm in trying the magnet for an hour or two!, just make sure the magnet is tied tight and MAKE SURE you get that clip out, if it means not riding the thing for a year till you get it out, then do it.

Is there any way to tip the motor upsidedown then jiggle it out?

Trying that would be a lot easier than slpiting the cases. IMO

if you tip the motor upside down, it is still going to stick to the side because of the oil.
good idea timmyboy

go to a good store with a good tool selection and find a mechanical finger...its flexible thin and should reach in there no prob...its not that expensive either...and after that you'll find that you have a thousand uses for it...also can be magnitized!

the best bet is to flush it, with diesel.
