Default warn select 424 on 2003 rubicon

I just got a 2003 rubicon and bought a warn select for it and i noticed that they tell you to mount the cable bracket to the right side of the body, but the air deflecter for the air box intake is covering axcess to get to the back of the plastic to hold the nuts for the cable mount.
Has any one installed one on a 2003 rubicon?
Any instillation tips would be appreciated. Thanks

do not drill to you know the location ,
because your plasticgas tank is also there

I put mine on the right side , the front the "L" shaped bracket (facing you as you sitting) , should be just above the
letter "A" on your HONDA sticker.

mine is a 2001 , but as far as I know they did not change anything on the rubi.

you have to loosen the upper plastic shroud on the rigth side in order to place the mounting nuts in the inside of your fender.
kind of have to lift the fender up and reach in, i did not remove mine for the installation.

the warn 424works awsome, a MUST have.

My buddy has the same kit on his 2003 rubi and it is on the left side as well. It is the best mod you will ever do to it! You will love it!

The left side of the machine is wide open and has easy access is there a reason that the directions specificaly tells you to put the control **** on the right side that any one knows of ?

I would guess they say that so that you have to take your right hand off the throttle to shift into 4WD. This will basically eliminate the risk of damaging the unit by shifting into 4WD when the back tires are spinning faster than the front.
