Default Durabilty- 400ex vs. Raptor

I have owned both yamaha and honda utilities and liked them both, very dependable, i am looking to buy a sport quad 400ex... maybe raptor, i was wanting to know the durability of these two quads, because i don't want to have to work on them a lot, I would just like to know any common problems. thanks

Umm, I would say 400ex for mx, reliability, trail riding,or lack of fundage, and Raptor for everything else. Not saying that the Rappy isn't reliable. The newer models are, but stay away from the 01's, most of them had tranny problems. The Raptor is also great at trails and MX though. Basically, if you have the money, Raptor, if you don't, EX. good choice, bu dont forget the z400, it's faster and a little more modern but the craftsmanship isn't nearly as good as the honda's

I agree, the z and raptor are great quads but aren't built as good as the honda.

400ex's are less trouble than Raptors, I almost bought one, but after I rode a Raptor I couldn't turn down having the power. If you don't need to go super fast 400ex's are great and you can get a good deal on them.

Yep, they don't have the power but they make up for it in agility, stability, and jumpability.

sounds pretty reasonable to me
