Rincon Torque Converter Problems ?
#1
I have another post inquiring if any of the Rincon owners have any regrets. I failed to also ask if there have been many tranny failures. I am concerned if it does fail, what the expense might be to repair it. Any feelings on how dependable it is? Is this a legit reason to spend the extra money on the Honda extended warranty? I don't want to be out be buck a year or two from now. Other makes that run the belt drives actually have a gear driven transmission and use the belts to transfer the power to the drive shaft. They do not have any hydraulics and clutch disc to go out. I am sold on the Rincon but something inside keeps telling me this is not the way to go. The tranny, the lack of a low gear and the lack of front diff. lock up keeps eating at me. But, I just love the looks of it and the Honda reputation. Also, do you feel that it is underpowered? Any feeling would be appreciated.

The group of guys I ride with have sport quads. Mostly 400ex's. I wanted the sportiest 4X4 I could get, and the Rincon fit the bill. We ride very aggressively. To date the Rincon has performed great. I like the transmission. I like the handling. I wish the front shocks were adjustable and someday I might put disc brakes on the front. Highly recommended. I still can't ride wheelies.

I have not had any tranny problems. For the trails I ride on, The Rincon has been perfect. My brother has a P650 and i think his bike has power that you can"t use. The only thing i do not like is adding oil after an oil change it takes forever as you just can't dump the oil in. Good luck.
