Carb Help...Please
#1
My buddy and I were cleaning his 2000 350ES's air filter the other night. It was left off the bike to dry over night. To make a long story short, the little square filter was left in when he took it for a test drive out the driveway and back tonight. He didn't get far before it started sputering. Realization came too late. We are pretty sure this little square filter was sucked into the carb.
Can someone please help. What would be the best approach to fix this nasty we have just made. Is removing the carb necessary, and if so where is the likely location of the little filter. Already removed the float and viewed inside, nothing visible. HELP!!

Der, it cant get in with the float, it would either be in the carb bore, or in the head. Very little chance it would get sucked through a valve into the cylinder. Just take off the airfilter and shine a light down the hole, if you dont see it, its in the head, but if its a butterfly type carb its prolyl suck in that.

I hauled the carb off and had a through look, look as far into the head as possible... nothing. Put the carb back on, primed and it started right up and is running fine. I guess the bike ate the little square filter.
Bike seems fine. Any ideas?

uhm.... first pull out the spark plug and look down the hole with a flash light to see if its in there (how big was it?) I guess it could have gotten eaten and spit out the exhaust pipe in which case it will probably burn up. Dosent seem likely to me though that it would squeeze through those lil bitty valve holes, but I guess the motor does suck pretty hard. I have no idea what kind of object we are talking about here though, im guessing it was just a small piece of foam since it didnt choke the engine to death.
