REAR BEARING CARRIER
#2
If you have ever changed the bearing on the 250r, the 400 is the same.
1. take the wheels off
2. take the right hub off
3. undo the axle nut(reserve threads)
4. take off chain
5. loosen swingarm bolts
6. take out axle and then bearing carrier
7. pry out seals
8. heat up area where bearing is on outside with propane torch
9. bearing should then slide out after tapping on workbench
10. take covers off of new bearing and fill with waterproof grease. leave inner cover off
11. put grase fitting in bearing carrier and fill with grease after installing new bearing
12 put everything back together and go have some fun
I hope that I didn't forget anything.
