Default Foreman battery goes dead

My hunting buddy has a 450ES that the battery goes dead after a couple of days. As long as it is run every day, the battery stays up. He replaced the battery about 4 months ago, and has had the problem for some time now. Another buddy was telling us about some recall Honda had on the Foremen that had something to do with the battery problem. Does anybody know what the recall is about and what the corrections are? It takes about 2 months for our local Honda shop to just do an oil change and replace the spark plug.

Do not know about a recall but does he have a Warn winch on it?

Default Foreman battery goes dead

If not the battery itself see if it has a parasitic drain on the battery. You can do this real easily by disconnecting the positive battery cable and hooking a 12V test light inline with the battery cable, or if you have a digital meter with amps scale you can do the same thing and get a current measurment. If the test light light up and stays lit with everything turned off you have a drain. Start disconnecting things until you get rid of the draw. If it doesn't have a draw I'd say you got a bum battery.
