i don't plan on buying a new quad but from what i have read honda finally stepped up and got with the program on the 450r. it's motor is suppose to be pretty close to the cr450 with some changes to match some rules they have for racing. the last bike i owned was a yz426 that had been modded out with piston, full titanium exhaust, ignition and a few other things and i can honestly say the cr450 whould give it a good run. i sold my yz450 only two months after buying it and decided to stick with the 426 because it just ran better, a little harder to start though since i didn't have the auto decompression. i think the honda is going to be a seriuos challenge for the yamaha.
