350X fork problem

Default 350X fork problem

Ok i have a 85 350X and i noticed the bolts on the little plate towards the bottom of the right fork that hold the axle in place were loose and when i went to toghten them the top left one snapped and im pritty sure its a stud and not a bold so i was wandering if anybody knew of any ways i could fix this problem.......any responces would be greatly appreciated.

Default 350X fork problem

You can try drilling it and using an easeout to remove it. You can also drill it completely out and then just chase the threads with a tap. Just make sure you get it centered so you don't take out any threads. Then screw you a new stud in there.
