My friend tells me that his 400ex with a stage 2 hot cam, 440 kit jets k&n will go like 70-75 mph is this true? and if not how fast dose it really go?

my trx275r stroker did 72 in 4rth gear

 

sounds kinda fast, but probably high 60"S

 

without any mods my stock 400ex does 68 mph w/ my GPS i think he can go 75 mhp w/ the 440 kit, cam, jet .......

 

DAMN! i thaught 70-72 at best, and i thaught that was on tha high side, how much extra speed will i get with a rev box? seeing ashow tha rev box adds 1000rpm

I raced my buddies 400ex (stage II cam, Yoshimura full, K&N, and some suspension stuff)
on my craptor(then all the mods I had was my hulled out stock silencer with a K&N and a jet kit...........basically stock)

mine would run 74-5 then and I just walked away from him like he was sitting still..........
we did a top end run and a drag race through the gears, and he had NO chance ether way........


I would also think mid-high 60's

 

Thanks guys for the input, Big Scary thanks for clearing that up, I am planing on getting a Raptor soon I am glad to here that the raptor put the hurt on that 400ex!!!

That 400 could easily go 70-75mph, no one factors in the riders weight, or even the 440's gearing. Those are serious factors in top speed.

 

This is a little silly to assume how much power a bike makes, its weight, the riders weight, and what gearing it has.......
