Use a good degreaser and then rinse! Make sure to dry it out good before you reinstall!!!

 

diesel fuel is probably your cheapest degreaser. Wash it with Dawn dish detergent afterwards and let it dry.

Okay, if you don't feel like waiting for it to dry then squeeze out the diesel fuel with paper towels, re-oil, stick it in a bag in the freezer for 20 minutes and then put it back on and go riding.

 

You can pick up foam air filter cleaner at any bike shop. The directions are on the back of the can. I like the UNI filter cleaner combo (degreaser & filter oil in one box).
