For racing moto-x you will need the following: tether switch and nerfs, they are probably required by your district. Next buy youself a set of aftermarket handlebars. If you buy Renthal, buy the quad-bend not the 4-trax bend. They are much easier on your wrists. Get a set of 18" Turf-tamers or Holeshot mx's on 8" wheels for the rear. These are must haves. Buy these before you even buy an exhaust! It will cost you about $450 for the above 4 items. Getting number plates, numbers and signing up with the AMA and your district will run another $75. After that start adding things as you go[if you're on a budget] Gearing, exhaust, high comp- piston / cam, front tires, rev box , extended a-arms, swingarm and axle the list will never end. Good luck and have fun!
