Its an 11:1 piston and depending on which brand you choose you may get only 9.5:1 up to 11:1+ and this depends on a lot but mostly how low in the cylinder the piston is etc.
What cam you thinking on? Why?
Whos port and polish?
Cooler oil is allways better but not allways easy or cheap.
Save your money from the jet kit and buy some jets in the range you need, and there only $3.50 if you know where to get them and normally around 5-7 anyhow.
Are your valves bad? if so step it up with some one piece kibblewhite black diamonds (there real nice) and some new guides and springs, but if you dont need them you wont get a lot of bang for the buck.
Keeping the stock carb?
