Rubicon Impressions

JRM-keep on doing the school thing. Bigger and better things will come out and the more time and effort that you put into getting a better education will pay off in the long run with you being able to buy all kinds of nice things.
When you get ready to grab some throttle, you better have a good grasp on the handlebars. Cause when you gas it--Houston, we have lift off.

I got a call today from a dealer and seen the rubie but it was already sold, Very awesome quad! I can honestly say that I had to look real hard and nit pick small things when trying to find a dislike, here they are:
1. there is a small removable cover by the headlight below the rack that isnt color matched very well.
2. the start button is kinda a far reach for my likeing
Thats it! those are the only things that i didnt love to death! Good thing i didnt ride it as i would have taken out a loan

I now have 53 miles on my new "Ruuby" and love it! I rode half a day with a 2000 Grizz. We went up and down many greasy, very steap hills.I liked D1 for this kind of riding and D2 for open and level riding. We climbed over many logs and trees in D1 and ESP without a problem.I did notice the "Ruby" had a much eaier time on side hills than the Grizz did. The Rubicon has a much wider stance. At the end of our ride we had to run them off. I used D2 both times. The Rubicon jumped the Grizzly by 2 or 3 lengths each time, but about 150 yards down the line the Grizzly would claw its way by.My top end so far has been 52 and that's plenty for this 240lb 50 year old.

It really looks like it is going to kick some butt. No test drive yet. The dealer did start it up & it purred like a mountain lion.
How do I talk my wife into moving up from her Recon to my Rancher & then me getting a Rubicon? I guess, I will have to wait a while.
