Default 450R wins atv class in Baja 1000

Here is a pix of Wes Miller's XR650 based quad. First time I have seen the LTZ, LTR [or something like that] dual pipes on a quad. Wonder how they run?

Maybe its just me, but that looks like an XR650R motor in Wes Miller's quad, not a CRF450.

You're right. I was all wrapped up with the pipes. I fixed the above post.

LOL!!! Hey I would LOVE to have one of the first 450r's - but the whole reason I can't get one right now is I have to buy a house first. That will happen the end of Feb, and then after that I can buy whatever I want!!! And I LOVE the fact that the 450r won this race - I have been busy defending Honda ever since the YFZ came out and people starting ripping on the Honda based on specs on a piece of paper!! And I agree - if all the people I know with Yami's start buying the Honda's, I will be ticked!!! I want to be the minority at the races for a while!!! I think this is one more example of what Honda does when they decide they will dominate. Mudders and pullers that dis Honda should hope Honda never decides to take mudding serious. jmo.

The sport quad market, as a whole, can only benefit from all this factory competition. Cool!

Your right. But, I wish they would pay as much attention to their Utility quads as they do the sport quads. The sport quads are some of the best, but I think it's safe to say their utilitys are lacking behind the others. But, I still love the rinny. Rumors have gotten to me saying that Honda is in the works on a 700+cc pure mudding machine. That outta make the mudders happy!

It's funny what Honda picks and chooses. They built a new motorcycle, the Valkryie Rune and only one per dealer, Honda will loose tons of money on this motorcycle. They did it just to see if the could build a "factory custom motorcycle". I think a lot of times they just "test themselves". Chrome wheels for this bike are a $2500 option. OH well, I guess thats where ideas come from.

YellowRincon-Where you been all these years?? Since 99, Honda has given us NOTHING BUT ONE UTE AFTER ANOTHER!! Rancher, Rubicon, and Rincon. All the while we sat here waiting for an upgrade from the 400EX. All I can say is that it has been a very long 6 years!!
