Can I upgrade the Rincon? HELP
Can I upgrade the Rincon headlight bulb? I tried finding out what type of bulb it has in the manual, but I can't find the model #. Also, are they Halogen? I really need to get some better lights, because the stock lights are very weak? They are 40 watts and I'm thinking of going with 55 watt halogen bulbs. Do you think they would melt my headlight housing?
Also, has anyone went with an LED brakelight?

Weak? They are halogen and one of the brightest lights I have ever seen on a stock ATV. I was very impressed with how bright mine are. LED brake lights would be cool, but the stock ones are super bright also.
http://www.piaa.com/ is going to start selling really bright headlights for ATVs soon. Go to their powersports page, but it's under construction. Even though I like how bright mine are, I want brighter so I plan on buying from them.

I agree 150%, the brighter the better. The Rincon has Halogen bulbs, and I think mine are brighter than most others I have ridden with at night. I hear there some after market lights out there you can put on in addition to your headlights, which I 'm trying to research right now. I don't think I'll ever have enough light at night, but I'll blind everybody else trying..............

You would be better off adding accessory lights clamped on to your racks than putting a 55W in a 40W socket, because YES they will
melt your sockets after a while, depending on how much and for what duration they are used. A half hour ride
might not have any affect, a four hour ride might turn them into slag.

My Wolverine lights are 100% brighter than the stock Rincon lights. I can't really find a place to mount the lights due to the radiator air flow and I don't like them sitting vertical on the racks. I guess I'll go with the HighLifter DayLight kit even though it looks bad.

This is good advice, I would mount a set elsewhere instead of getting brighter bulbs.

Wolveriner, if your Rincon lights are that dim, maybe you should be looking for a possible cause,
because every newer Honda I have seen has very bright lights. My 03 Rancher are only 30W and I have no problem seeing at night, which I don't do much because of all the deer around here.

Just bought the following kit to install on the Rincon. A factory Yamaha PIAA kit
http://yamaha-motor.com/accessories/...&pg=1&pid=3418
The Yamaha dealer said that it was VERY bright and it should fit very nice on the rack. Looking forward to putting them on the bike. The kit set me back $150 and should be here on Friday. I'll post a review as soon as I get them installed.

Take a look at this light. These work well at night because they light up in the direction you are turning, not just straight ahead. The Foreman has one on it and I really like it at night.
