does taking out the spark arrestor give it power you can actually feel or does it just make it louder

It's impossible to gain enough power to feel a difference when the mod is so minor that it doesn't require rejetting. It'll be louder, but any gains you notice are all in your head, because 0.3 hp isn't noticable.
