I have the Cycle Country plow on our Recon and it works great. Chains on the back are a must. The limiting factor is definitely traction. It has plenty of power to push as much as the small 48" plow will hold on the blade.

Wet, heavy snow is a different story. For that you need plenty of speed to push it. Again, the biggest problem is a lack of traction though.

The last two winters I have plowed with ours and will probably be doing so again this year.

 

how much for the plow? I want one for my 250ex. Did you get your chains from the same place the plow was puchased? thanks.

 

I ordered both through my local Honda dealer from the Parts Unlimited catalog. I can't remember how much it was though.
