Snow plow for Recon?
#5
I think the Recon could push some snow. Just put some weight on the back, maybe the front and some chains on the back tires. Look at all the 2 wheel drive lawn tractors that are used for moving snow.

My Recon should have no problem with plowing. I have the chains ordered and it has plenty of power in 1st gear. We had it going through some 14" snow with ease on this last storm.

Yes, 1st gear or lots of speed - something has to give, snow or the bike!!! Seriously, that bike should be able to push it, to make it easier, make your first run with the blade angled, then only take 1/2-3/4 of the width of the blade.

I work at a Honda dealer In Minnesota and install a plow on a Recon so they do make plow brakets for it.. We sell cycle country that's were we get them.. IF you want a good laugh they even have a plow mount for a 250x 300ex

I rebuilt a 40" Murray lawn mower pushblade to be used together with the Recon. I had to place in a chopped blade from a Tractor to reinforce it enough. Works nice now, but I wouldn't place a wider blade to be pushed. Also: first time ever I've had a grin as wide as my head while removing snow Incredibly fun doing a 180 direction change to plow, by getting the Recon to slide sideways, full throttle and continue in the opposite direction.. ;D
