I've got 2600 miles on mine always starts and runs great. Other than replacing brakes, and one front wheel bearing, I've not done much to it. It isn't the best ride out there, or the fastest. But, it is a Honda.

There was a recall on the 450es honda's in early 2000. There was a problem with the battery running down. I didn't take mine in for the recall, I've never had any problem with the battery running down either. Some of them did though. Might ask the owners about that.
