Get a 36mm lectron from TC racing

 

Is the 36mm pre-jetted, and where do you get the most power by changing to that carb ( RPM range) and how much and is it worth the cost?

Can you feel the difference with the Lectron carb? Where are the power gains at? I'm looking for more mid to top end power. Is the Lectron as good as the FCR 39mm carb? I heard the FCR makes a big difference, but it costs so much.

 

The stock carb is 35.5mm, not 36mm. When I wanted a carb I called up TC racing and he told me that, he has tried from a 36mm to a 40mm. Tom the owner told me that the 36mm hits the hardest and performs the best. He puts this carb on all of his 400EX race bikes. With my carb the throttle response is awesome. But I put all of my engine mods on at the same time so I can't tell how much power it puts out. The carb comes pre-jetted for you to run it with the air box lid off. It cost me with shipping, $262. I hope this helps.

 

Would an aftermarket carb be worth it on an otherwise stock machine? I'm curious because I can't get exhaust due to noise issues.
