I cant stand mine either.Honda better wake up and listen to what their customers want. Most other 4x4 manufactures have front/rear disk brakes, front diff lockers, and a reverse overide switch,I want the same for my Rincon or it may be my LAST Honda for awhile,I dont care how dependable it is.

SEAN,
Alot of ATVs have a safety feature that will only allow your ATV to travel to speeds at about 7mph while its in reverse. This is a safety feature so that you keep your speed LOW while in reverse. When the ATV hits about 7mph in reverse, the engine will start to mis-fire so you cant go any faster. While this works FINE on hardpack surfaces with no obstuctions, its a pain in the butt when you get into sticky situations like a mudpit, snow, towing ect,all which require more wheel speed and power.

The reverse overide button will allow you to bypass this misfire so you'll have FULL POWER in these sticky rverse situations.

Honda makes it's quads for the general riding population, not for application
specific uses. If you wanted specific features, you should have bought a quad
with those features. The Rincon is one of the best, if not the best, general purpose
utes made. 'nuff said.

Thanks Muddy, I haven't heard of that before. I don't know that I would ever need it, but I'll look into them.

Thanks

WOODSRUNNER,
I could'nt disagree with you more.I worked at a HONDA only dealership in sales for about 16 months. The general riding population is getting tired of Honda being the most expensive ATVs on the market and having the least amount of features. The ONLY reason I went with Honda is because of their reliability record.

With TODAY'S technology, allmost all of the leading brand ATVs are reliable/dependable and I GUAREENTEE you that even though Honda is BARELY in 1st place in ATV sales, they wont be within the next few yrs.Simply put, buyers are sick/tired of paying more $$ for less.

muddy, I am not talking about atv junkies like us in here, or avid riders
of any category. I am talking about mr
farmer, mr lawyer and mr average joe american, who rides once a month for
pleasure, or uses his quad on the farm or the mini-farm, or keeps one at his
summer cottage on the lake for running to the corner market for milk and bread.
That is who Honda builds quads for.
Isn't it fairly obvious?

WOODSRUNNER,
It was you that quoted Honda made their ATVs for the GENERAL riding population.

You cannot fit Mr farmer,Mr lawyer,or the guy that uses his quad once a month to run after milk with his quad as the GENERAL riding population. These type's of riders[Mr Lawyer-Mr Farmer, ect] make up for about 5% of the TOTAL ATV market. So if thats the type of riders Honda targets, they would be NO WHERE near 1st place in ATV sales.

I respect your opinion,I just disagree with it.

Merry Christmas,
Bill
