need advice on a 90

I had a chance to buy a 99 trx90. It had set up for a while. It would only run with the choke on. Turn choke off and it would die in about 3 seconds. I cleaned the carb and it didnt help. Ive played with the air screw and dont know what to do next. Air filter is clean. HELP!!!!!!

How long did you play with it? A 'normal' TRX90 takes about 5 minutes of choke & throttle playing before it starts running well. Just the way this cold blooded engine is. There's been some advice here about running a hotter plug or making some jetting changes but we've kept ours stock for now.

prolly something to do with jetting, my snowmobile does the same thing except for it idles with the choke of but doesnt rev

Anytime 420 and Ill send you home with your feelings hurt. Just thought someone would have had the same problem. Ive got several quads in my garage and they will all put roost in your eyes. I agree the 90 has power. Probably too much for you.LOL jk I have seen some EXes run real strong. Hope we can meet up sometime.
