Default Warrior VS 400ex

I know a 400ex will beat a Warrior and I'm only wondering how much you'd have to mod a Warrior so it can pass a stock 400ex. Thank you

A complete waste of money! Speed isn't the biggest issue here. The Warrior handles BIG and HEAVY (I rode one for years!). The Warrior outstrips its suspension real fast. Even if you mod the engine up, a stock 400 would drop the Warrior thru the first whoop section.

yea like trailrider said, get a badger 50, it'll kill even the most modded 400ex or warrior in any race.

In the July 2002 issue of ATV Action, there was an article about the Alba Warrior. At that time they had a kit for around $1400.00. It brought the hp from around 18 stock up to around 29 hp with the kit.

The Warrior is an older model that has seen few changes. The seat alone isn't the best platform to move around on. It's a cruiser that doesn't invite a person to stand as easy as other quads might.

Thanks guys, I've come to realize how right you are. My friend used to have one (before his 400ex) and I remember driving it sometimes. It handled better than my own fourwheeler, but it handled badly compared to the 400ex. The 400ex has so much more power too. I guess either a Raptor or a 400ex. A Z400 would be a good choice as well but I am looking for USED.

You can find used Warriors and 400ex's for almost the same price these days. For trailriding I'd say Warrior for sure, the woods are it's home. But for everything else go with the EX.

Rule #1- NEVER buy used. If they ride anything like most people do. It's going to be dead by the time you touch it. Just buy new. Unless you know the person personally and know they don't beat the **** out of their quad.
