I have had three recons two formen 450s and two rubicons. my first recon was a 99 and it was as slow as a snale it would only go about a 30-35 mph then I got a 03 recon and it was fast it could keep up with my 03 rubicon my wife could almost pass me and now we have a 05 and it is even faster. but every atv is diferont my little brother got a 03 rubicon at the same time same dealer and mine was a lot faster then his I could go around 5-10 mph faster same thing with the recons. I have a friend that got a 03 recon about the same time and his was slower then mine as well and we were about the same size. I agree on the recon beeting the formon off the line my first 450 was slow.
