Looking for some help, got a 2001 Foreman that has a knocking/tapping type noise, which seems to be at top end while at an Idle. Noticed some while driving at a steady speed also. have put knew valve set screws because they were kinda of mushroom headed, new cam chain, whipped. this noise would sound like the valves where out of adjustment. looking for any thoughts.

Where is a good place in canada to order atv parts?

Maybe when you set the gap on the valves, you were 360 degrees off on the crank, where the timing mark is.
Low on oil?
Try buying parts online, look in the back pages of your atv magazines, there are lots of advertizements there.

 

Bike has all kinds of power, I have even taken the head off checked the ris pin and valves everything looks like knew. I'm just lost, as I said bikes works great but it bothers me not to know what that noise is. My co-workers has the identical bike it is is not noisey like this??

or when at steady speed. . .

I've adjusted the valves, but it did not change the sound...

But the quad is very powerful, no problems except the sound.. I hope it's not eating metal in the engine . .. .

 

WENT FOR A 5 HOUR RUN YESTERDAY AND MY BUDDY BEHIND ME STOPPED ME AND SAID I WAS BLOWING SOME BLUE SMOKE AND IT STUNK SO I CHECKED MY OIL AND IT BARLEY TOUCHING TO DIPSTICK. NOW I DONT KNOW WHERE TO GO FROM HERE, CAN'T TRUST MY DEALER, BEEN THERE DONE THAT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APRECIATED.
