Default 250r clutch adjustment?

I have a 88 trx250r with the stiffest clutch i have ever seen. Is there any adj. on these and if so where/how.It has a folding clutch lever(asv or avs) but i think the stiffness is the clutch itself.I have owned the bike for 2 wks and dont know any details of what clutch it has in it.

i might know your problem. i had the same problem in my 87 LT250R. it could be that the little bearing on the pressure plate is gone or something has broken off and jammed in your clutches.

Does it still pull any??????

if it does then this might not be your problem, Do you have a Clymer's manual for it???? Look up about the clutch and transmission and it should tell you step by step how to take it apart. Take it apart and check everything to see if it looks right. i know this because me and my dad rebuilt my clutch in the LT. my 86 Honda 250R currently doesn't have any problem so i can only offer you the advice about what happened with the Suzuki.

One of the best things I've bought for my R is the Works Connection clutch perch along with a new clutch cable. The Works unit is kind of expensive but it's well worth the money. What makes it so good is it has small ball bearings in the mechanism which results in a smooth easy pull. I can pull my clutch lever in now with only one finger!
