Just bought a Ramsey winch for my 2002 Honda Rubicon. Just curious if anyone else has a Rubicon with a winch. I am having trouble finding a spot to mount the solenoid.

Do you mount it to the frame, zip tie? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

the solenoid on my foreman is mounted inside the sorage compartment at the rear of the machine. the dealer mounted it there saying they hold up best in that location. hope this helps. dg

 

How did you have enough cable to go from the front winch all the way back to the storage compartment.

By the way, how did they mount it inside the compartment?

I dont know about the cable length. looks like it's one piece from what i can see. they mounted the solenoid in the rear of the storage box towards the top securing it right to the box from the inside out. the solenoid is completely inside the box safe from water, mud, and crap. I have really put this machine through it's paces too with no probs. used to winch alot today plowing snow...real nice job and my shovel never left the garage. Prestonsburg Honda did the work for me. They are in Prestonsburg, KY.
