450r question?

Default 450r question?
Does the new 450r have a batery for the headlights or do they only come on while the atv is running?

I don't think it has a battery. But I could be wrong. Looking at the pics, it appears there is a black box under the seat, but It may be the toolbox.

Waiting to see one in person.

being kickstart only I doubt they have a battery, but I could be wrong...

I would think it would have a battery to power the lights when the quad is off

No alternator i belive means it does't have one.
See if the yfz has one or not and that will tell ya.

Hello 450R fans, the Honda 450R does not have a battery. The reason for it being kick start eliminates the battery and extra/unnecessary wireing. Another reason for not having a battery is for weight savings. You will not ever have to worry about buying another $50+ battery again. I think honda did the right thing here buy eliminating the battery on this MX RACER. I hope this answered your question. And as for the lights, they will only work when the quad is running, just like the other 2-stroke machines that have no battery (Blaster - Banshee - Legendary 250R).

Chavo,

The YFZ 450 has an electric start so it has to have a battery. The TRX450R has a kick start and does not have a battery.
