Hi, I run splitfire plugs in my 400ex... I haven't noticed any power gain, or horsepower.. but it runs less rich.. (don't know why). in case you are wondering.. i have a K&N atv power kit.. I have a dynojet 165 main, with a filter and precharger.. i always run with the lid off. But hey, you might see some performance gains... you never know.

I had a Split Fire plug in 2 stroke 400. It fouled out faster than a Champion N2. I never bought them again.

I tried them in my quad, my sled and my truck all with no apparent gain in performance or mileage. They also fouled out in my sled like THOR said and NGK plugs never have in the same motor. I personally dont think they are worth the money. I would rather use the stock plug.

I don't think Splitfire plugs are really worth the money. I never could tell a difference in how they run in anything I owned. Another thing I had always heard is that they will burn the top of your piston, although I've never seen it. I use to ride 2-stroke bikes for my first couple years of riding, and I tried them a couple of times with no luck. They are like another poster said on here, they foul quicker than a champion (and thats quick, I've fouled a champion before ever getting the bike started once, actually an odyssey). The best spark plug I have ever used is the NGK ones, very good plugs that last forever. Splitfire is definitely not worth the money.

if you think about it.. the idea of them is totally retarted. If you know anything about electricity.. anything at all. you know that there will never be a spark going to both of the prongs at the same time (leaving you with a really really expensive ordinary spark plug. The reason for this is that electricity finds the least path of resestance. if one prong is even a little closer, or a little cleaner then that is the one that will fire. stick with the NGKs boys. its proven technology.

Thanks guys!

This is what the forum is all about, passing on information.

I won't waste my time or money on those plugs. I will keep using the NGK's.
