Default fixing a 250EX

I have a 250Ex that i completly destroyed. i need to fx the whole back end and the entire engine. what would be the cheapest way to go just buy a brand new 250EX engine or to repair it all and if i was to buy a new engine how much more would it cost to buy a 400 engine?

I don't know how much damage you have so it's hard to say what you need or what it will cost. oh and the 400 engine will not fit

the 250ex is shaft drive. the 400 is chain drive. you would have to build a new swingarm and buy a axle and all the part for it and you would need new brakes. just to run the chain. then to put the engine in with the oil cooler and tank. would be a major job in its self. just to end up with to much power for the frame and 250ex front suspension. in other words a big ol' waste of time and money.

if your 250ex is totaled say goodbye and start again. insurance is allways a good thing to have for this kind of thing

What in the world did you do to it? I have a 250ex and it seems very hard to destroy, what did you do go off a cliff with it?
