Default 400Ex or Rappy?

Funny thread here.

I think only 2 people didnt recomend the quad they ride somthing fishy there.

You would be happy with either as long as it doesnt have any problems etc, but if you want whats best for you get your but on both of them and compare.

These are two very different machines that will accelerate and handle in favor of either in different conditions etc. but in stock form the power is in favor of the raptor and handling for the EX.

the power reasons are obvious but the handling does have more to do with design than just seat height etc.

I think a lot of the decision would also need to based on your skil level and how much you like to mod your stuff. If you have average skills and dont like to go beyond intake and exhaust mods you may be happier with the Raptor but if you have more advanced skills and prefer a heavilly modded machine you should give a lot of thought to the EX.

In race prep form for XC or MX it seems the EX will allow you to achieve faster times and since there are more ex's on the podium than raptors you have believe they can make some power.

And it started as newbe and then had several variations till the current newb.

Default 400Ex or Rappy?

dude i have ridden both the raptor and 400ex and i currently own a 250ex and a 300ex. Go with the raptor it will smoke a 400 so bad. the raptor is a little less stable but makes up for it with speeds and the raptor has reverse just like the 250ex and the 400ex doesn't. Deffinitly go with a raptor.

Hey I'am not bias or anything like that. I currently own a 03 400ex and am very pleased my sons also have a 250ex. In my opinion honda has been at it since 1970 I belive they know what the are doing. Anyways my point is the 400ex is a great quad and I haven't heard anything really bad about the 660 but the parts and labor bill on the 4000ex should be considerable less then the 660 but ride both and figure out what you like best.

I would personally go with the 400ex. Mod's and parts are cheaper. Plus you don't feel that much of a difference in power unless you pipe the raptor.[/q

Raptor would be my choice faster
