Default question about a 400ex motor

W/ a stage 2 cam you will have to change the valve springs, w/ a stage 1 you can throw it in and go(maybe have to adjust the valves a little.)

Default question about a 400ex motor

If you are going to go with a hi-comp piston like that, you should go with a stg 2 cam
Hi compression will build more power down low and the stg 2 will provide the over rev you need
Stg 1 cams are usually used for building low-mid range power
And stock valve springs are fine with a stg 2.. i have been using my stg 2 with the stock springs for about 70-100 hours now and no worse for the wear.
If you were going to build an all out rev machine, then i could see the use for h/d springs. But with a rev around 10,000 and not being there constantly, there is not much of a problem with valve float
With you 11:1 stock bore and eithr cam though, you should have no problem with a stock z/kfx
