hot cam 1 or 2 ???

The Stage 1 cam is designed for bottom end and mid range power. So if your wanting a cam for low end, the Stage 1 cam from Hot Cam is what your looking for.
The Stage 2 cam is designed more for mid range and top end, and sacrifices some of the low end.

There are limits to the stage1 and once you have modded the engine past a "point" it will starve it.
I think on their site they claim its good up to a 426cc but that doesnt mean fully ported and an fcr carb either, but it does mean any well built 440.
On a mostly stock engine with typical intake and exhaust mods I would deff prefer the stage1 over the stage2 as from my experience with the two cams the stage1 would show much better gains from bottom to mid and wouldnt have the "starving" problem from mid to top that a more modded engine would and would only be slightly less in the upper rpm range as the engine itself would be limited more in the higer rpms than the cam.

ISSUE WITH STAGE1 LIFT SPEC.
Does anyone have a cam card from a stage1 HotCam so we can be sure the numbers listed above are acurate?
I know the one I had was not 9.0mm lift but am not sure if that was because it was one of the first ones produced and then later changed or corrected, or if the lift is still smaller on the newer cams supplied.
Please post the info if you have it.

Have you heard about ferrera valves? I am thinking of putting some in.
To be honest I don't know much about the damm carb but I am taking it in again to have the stage 2 cam put on also a JE piston the sleeve and head gasket. Oh yeah with the stage 2 Im putting the kibble white springs I heard there the best.

Hardbody, I don't think it will outrun a stock raptor. At the dragstrip the raptors with a slip-on are running like 9.60's in the 1/8. I did race a YFZ450 and kept up through 3rd, then it was "bye bye" after that. You can read my signature below to see my engine specs.
