I have a 416 kit, along with a Stage II. You have to keep the motor in the higher rpms at all times, kinda like a two stroke. The motor doesn't like being lugged one bit.

Stage 1 is more all around. Low and Midrange.

Stage 2 is more race setup. Midrange and Top End.

The stage2 isnt really more of a race set up because that does depend on what type of racing you do and what other mods you have etc.

Like quadfather detailed above it can actually hurt performance by moving the power too high into the rpms causing a major loss of bottom end power etc, and that isnt what you want for racing.

You have to match the engine mods to each other and your riding style or needs. This is the only way besides random luck that you will get a end result you are happy with.
