But its too bad that 2 strokes are still faster than 4 strokes. I own a 86 quadracer, and I was nearly ready to sell it for a Z400. At the hills in Glamis they were faster. Then I did about $200 in mods(carb, air cleaner, porting) and now I can walk over piped z400 and 400ex. I can even almost hang with a Raptor. My bike has cost me a total of around $1500, so i couldn'tt warrant spending $6000 to not go faster. I aslo dont mind working on my quad and mixing gas. However, my wife has a 300ex and I am glad she does. She love the electric start and reverse, plus she can put gas in herself.
Truthfully, I dont think the 250r will go down as much or as fast as many may think. Their presence is too strong, and they are real easy to mod and go fast.
