Off set key
#11
Hey red
the only thing the offset key does is advance your timing......thats it
as far as power?.........OH YEA..........throughout the entire power band
and yes four stroke engines [like all internally combustion engines]
have a power band..........you dont have the same HP @ 1500 rpm as you do @ 5000 rpm do ya?
So how bout it?????
Has anyone done this on a rubicon????????

Gimp
very informative page

Not sure if a dealer would install this or not
D&D powersports should have one on hand 315-376-8013
and yes it will give you more power
below the power band....in the power band....and above the power band

Somebody was quick to delete 'powerband' from their post..... LOL
So what !? , a 2 stroke does not have as much power @ 1500 as it does @ 5000 eather
I do not understand your point here
A four stroke has a power curve, a 2 stroke has a power band....
Oh yea, ok, a fuel injected superbike has a power band, a sudden spike in its curve where HP/TORQUE darts high, suddenly as per rpm gain (POWERBAND)
But not a Rubicon as origionaly posted above that has been deleted.... LOL
IT HAS A POWER CURVE ..... in which it will perform within 1000 RPM to 5000 RPM sure, but sorry, no power band....
Back to the question at hand------
If you can advance your timing by flywheel key in a fesable amount it will increase your buttom to mid range TORQUE when viewed on a graph. I have done a search from our sources within the dealership i work, the last couple of days and cannot find an advance key that size.
It will not give you the '4BBL affect' as you origionaly refered to as a powerband then deleted from your post.
