Default Well, I was surfing the HMF Website....

Wouldn't they market the full system as the best considering it is $400+ and the Slip On is just over $200? Seems they are marketing the wrong pipe.

Default Well, I was surfing the HMF Website....

I db metered an HMF silencer w/ the "quiet core" this last summer, it was over 100 db and then some. They gave a full refund, and nicely stood behind their product. Give them time, they'll get it dialed in.

HMF is too loud for trail use. The Pro Circuit T-4 I have on my Rancher is louder than stock, by a good amount,
but not ear-splitting, and it gave nice performance improvements. Might be worth your friends consideration.

the HMF full system has larger head pipes. so if you put this on a motor that is only mildly built you would lose a little power so a slip-on would work better. if you have a big bore with the head ported and a hot cam and an over size carb. you may want the full system to allow for the extra air flow.
