Is a Superwinch 1500 large enough for use on a Rancher 4X4???

I think this question's been answered. Superwinch ATV2000 and T1500 have identical motors and geartrains. With a ****** block, either is adequate for ATV applications (over two tons of extraction force is available to you). I know of a Superwinch ATV1500 in continuous use since 1978; with a ****** block, it has never left me stranded and I've been SOME stuck (with a 600 # quad).

I heard your suppose to get a winch 1 1/2 times the weight of your quad just to be safe.

Which ever model you get, spend the extra money & get the ****** block, you will be glad you had it.

Think of it as a little insurance policy.
