94DGblaster,
I think you'll find that on a 4 stroke you will get better results and performance by short shifting. Winding out a 4 stroke is defeating the primary advantage of the basic charactistic of the design, which is torque! Winding it out goes beyond the peak torque curve and the power begins to fall off. Get in the habit of short shifting, stay in a higher gear in corners than you would on a peaky blaster & you'll find youself making better time.
P.S. I run a Curtis Sparks pipe & Supertrapp on my Warrior. You have a good one! His work is first class as you can see just by the welds.
You may want to pull your main jet to see if the previous owner had rejetted for the pipe & filter.

He said he rejetted.
I am short shifting now, at the time i posted this i had about 30 minutes on the 4-wheeler. I'm not used to 4-strokes.
I'm getting good at it, i find in most trail spots i can keep it in 4th without any trouble!
I like the pipe, it is extremely loud and the little bend in the pipe sticks out beyond the grab bar. If i cut that pipe off would it hurt the gains that i got from the pipe?

I don't think I would alter the bend of the pipe or cut any part of it off.
The design of any pipe involves the correct application of air flow versus the proper amount of back pressure to affect the efficient operation of the valves. An alteration of the pipe in a *****-nilly manner could ruin the pipe.
